Brief Profile
Ms Munira Muhammad is a Lead Specialist in the assessment department. At the Examination Board, she leads the development of measurement tools with respect to the international best practices for certification programmes and Project-based assessment at different grade levels. Being an expert in Assessment, she is responsible for the ensuring standardization in the measurement tools. She is a mentor for specislists at the Examination Board.
She has over a decade experience of teaching at various levels with the subject expertise in History, Geography, Civics, Political Science, Education, Sociology and Psychology. Further to this, she has an experience of over 10 years in high-stakes assessment and project-based learning with her expertise in the areas of curriculum development, assessment, educational research, teacher development and mentorship. She has conducted capacity building programs at the national level in both public and private sectors providing training to educators and academician.
Her research interests include validity and reliability of scores in Humanities subject examinations, evaluating the effectiveness of skills-based training program for teacher trainers and students’ perception of learning with regards to high stakes examinations.
Ms Muhammad has obtained her MPhil in Education from AKU-Institute for Education Development in 2019. She has a Master Of Business Administration in Human Resource Management from PAF-Karachi Institute of Economics and Technology as well as Master of Arts in International Relations from the University of Karachi. She also has completed the Graduate Certificate in Educational Research Methodology (MESA) from University of Illinois, Chicago.
