Brief Profile

Mr. Tariq Iqbal has 28 years and has a very diversified experience the field of planning sector, financial management, education planning and served in various capacities in district, provincial, Federal Ministries and Autonomous bodies.
He served as Chief Executive Officer, Punjab Examination Commission from 2020-2024 and instrumental in implementation in leading the transitional phase from high stake examinations to assessment framework at elementary level in Punjab. Under his leadership, Punjab Examination Commission implemented the standardized assessment across Punjab, digitalization of Item bank software, conducted various sample bases assessment and developed feedback mechanism of results and developed strategy as well as implementation plan for Formative Assessment. The organization, under his leadership also developed collaboration with other regional assessment bodies to foster a unfirmed assessment regime.
