Waqar Ahmed Shah is the Deputy General Manager, Pakistan-Pearson Education Ltd. He looks after the Pearson’s operations in Pakistan and has played a significant role in establishing and promoting UK based education in Pakistan as a Business Head for BTEC Qualifications, which are skills-based qualifications at college and university level, and PTE Academic tests, which are globally recognised computer based English Proficiency tests valid for study and immigrations visas.
He has over 21 years of work experience in International Education. He has previously held positions at British Council Pakistan and has been with Pearson Education Ltd since 2010 (14 Years). Pearson is the UK’s largest awarding body regulated by Ofqual (England), SQA Accreditation (Scotland), CCEA Accreditation (Northern Ireland) and Qualifications Wales (Wales). Pearson offers academic and vocational qualifications that are globally recognised and benchmarked, with educational excellence rooted in names like BTEC and Edexcel.
He holds a wide range of experience in developing country level business development strategies, executing plans, working as a team lead, and establishing external linkages.
